Cowgate Arts used to trade out of
the Cowgate in Edinburgh incorporating gallery space, theatre space and various
artists studios. Unfortunately, due to a fire in the Cowgate the building was
destroyed and has not as yet been rebuilt. Cowgate then acquired the old
TSB building in Argyle Street (near to what was formerly the Buttery and is now
The Two Fat Ladies restaurant) which included a large banking hall (for exhibition
space) and a number of self contained units. In endeavouring to build up the operation
again Cowgate Arts acquired a stock of paintings which can be viewed by appointment
at the gallery and also managed to persuade a number of artists to allow them
to exhibit some of their works. These artists include Annette Edgar, Shona
Barr, Charles Bray and Michael McManus. Their websites are respectively available
as seen on their portfolio section. If you require any further information or
wish to obtain information both as to private viewing and future exhibitions please
do not hesitate to contact either Forbes Leslie (07711920672) or Ros Sutherland

please do not hesitate to contact us. |
